Chicken Corn Patties
Corn patties are yummy, but it's better when you add some protein like ground chicken in them. Chicken corn patties are a simple recipe and yet delicious.
Corn patties are a favorite Thai street food that're also famous among Thai restaurants in the U.S. and around the world. My chicken corn patties recipe is a little bit different from the typical Thai corn patties. Just like its name says, I add ground chicken in it. With our busy lives and schedules, we have so much to do. I've added the protein to the original recipe to make it more like a meal instead of just an appetizer.

Are any fried foods really healthy?
We usually don't do much fried but when we do we make sure to use healthy oils. There are arguments that they actually do some good. According to webmd.com in this article canola oil is one of the healthiest. It actually has less saturated fat than any other oil used in the west. It also has more important nutrients like ALA than any other oil. Alpha-linolenic acid is something your body can't make on it's own. You can see the benefits.
This chicken corn patties recipe is not like the usual western corn fritters; it has some of the Thai flare in it. In this recipe, we have ground chicken and corn as main ingredients. I season those two things with crushed cilantro stalks, garlic, black pepper, and soy sauce. Next, I mix all the ingredients and add an egg and corn starch in it. I use my hands to combine all of the ingredients and make sure I blend them well.
Next, I heat canola oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, I make a patty of the mixture and drop it into the hot oil one by one. Fry those patties about couple minutes on each side and dab the patties with paper towels before you serve them. Dish the chicken corn patties up with Thai sweet chili sauce. Enjoy!
