PF Chang's Sesame Sauce Grilled Vegetables is an Easy Way to Eat Your Vegetables
Making this PF Chang's Sesame Sauce Grilled vegetable recipe is a relatively easy way to please friends and family. The vegetables are pretty much whole foods and the only other ingredient is PF Chang's sesame sauce. You just basically just chop the vegetables nad marinate them in the sauce in the fridge for up to a day or two, grill and serve. There really isn't much more you need for this recipe other than foil and skewers but you can even do it without those.
Supplies
You're either going to need an outdoor grill or a cookie sheet. You can use whatever vegetables you want so think of this as a rough guide. I did two large mixing bowls worth of veggies.
For this recipe I bought the following other supplies:
- Aluminum foil
- Skewers
- Plastic wrap or large ziplock bags for marination
Ingredients:
- Two large bowls worth of the following or whatever you like.
- Onions, like 4 medium cut into quarters.
- Bell peppers, several colors cut into wedges.
- Tomatoes, cut into wedges
- 5-10 Jalapenos, cut into thirds or halves and seeded.
- 1 each. zucchini, yellow squash, some random squash no one could put a name on
Instructions:
- Cut the veggies into small enough pieces to put on the skewers.
- Place them in a large mixing bowl with 1 bottle of PF Chang's Sesame Sauce per each bowl.
- For more coverage of the sauce, you can poke holes in the veggies with a fork and marinate in a ziplock bag making sure every surface is covered.
- Marinate, covered for at least 30 minutes if not overnight or more.
- Fill each skewer to almost the end with the veggies in mixed order for presentation.
- Heat the grill on medium high heat with foil or a cookie sheet at 400 degrees.
- Place the veggies on the grill or cookie sheets and cook until slightly charred, depending on your grill or oven, turning regularly to cook evenly.
- Serve with as a side to grilled meat or whatever else you are having!
