This Copycat Fang's Bistro Thai Chicken and Shrimp is something I wanted to make at home after trying the menu item at the restaurant. It is an amazing combination of shrimp and chicken with green beans and onions with a Thai sauce. The sauce is scrumptious and I found myself slurping it up after eating all the protein in this recipe. This is a great, low-carb, high-protein recipe with simple and easy ingredients.
So, Fang's Bistro is a Chinese restaurant and I didn't ask them how they made this. I am giving them some love because they are msg free, use only canola oil and offer brown rice. Whenever I see this in a restaurant I have to try to help them out. Mod and I actually just argued and brainstormed until Mod said, I know what to do. It's a somewhat spicy dish, about 3 out of 5, they call it spicy on the menu but I didn't feel it at all. Mod nailed the spiciness level and everything but I think hers has a bit more red chili pepper in it, judging by the red coloration.
Warning
I have to warn you. This dish ruined my night. My plan was to stop at the gym before going home. Mod sent me the photos of what was at home waiting for me and I couldn't wait to get home. I got home and ate the rest of it, which was three servings. Of course, I went into a food coma and didn't make it to the gym. This is why the Spanish invented tapas, I would recommend having a plan to make sure this doesn't happen to you, lol. Either have stronger willpower than me or have enough people so that it's gone before you can go for seconds. Anyways, here is the recipe.
Whole Food, Low Calorie Ingredients
We always shoot for using whole food ingredients as a general rule. If you want to go all in, as far as going whole food ingredients, you will need to make your own red curry paste and sweet chili sauce. You can go for simple or you can go for as clean as possible. Honestly, we went simple on this one but here are our recipes for a healthier sweet chili sauce and a healthier red curry paste. I should add that the recipe will have fresher flavors when you make the ingredients yourself. That is always the case with fresh, natural ingredients.

Plating it
Plating this recipe the way they did means getting an even distribution of everything and just enough sauce to slurp up at the end. You can always top with your favorite garnish like a few fresh Thai peppers, green beans, cilantro. You're the boss, adapt away!
