Baked Sriracha Sambal Thai Garlic Chili Chicken Wings
Baked chicken wings are one of everyone's favorite, at least on our blog. This Sriracha Sambal wings recipe is for those who like strong, medium spicy flavors. We took a trick from our friend at copykat.com and used baking powder to make these a little crispier. The baking powder we found is also reduced sodium so you can sleep a little better when you make them at home, knowing you are using safer ingredients. Not to mention you make sure you are clean when you cook them yourself and save a bit of money.
Ingredients:
- Roughly 2 pounds of raw, unflavored, chicken wings, chopped into smaller pieces
- ¾ cup Sriracha sauce
- ¼ cup Sambal, chili garlic sauce
- 1 cup honey
- Thai style fried garlic flakes to top
- Reduced sodium baking powder
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- Place the chopped up chicken wings on aluminum foil placed on top of a baking sheet
- Sprinkle reduced sodium baking powder evenly over the wings
- Bake for 1 hour, flipping every 20 minutes
- While the wings are baking mix the Sriracha, Sambal, and honey in a saucepan and heat, mixing until everything is evenly mixed
- When the wings are golden brown and crispy take them out and place them in a bowl
- Cover the wings with the Chili, garlic, honey sauce and toss or flip with tongs until they are covered
- Place on a plate and sprinkle with fried garlic flakes or your choice of garnish for presentation
