Copycat Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks Refresher Recipe, Starbucks is currently out all over the US, but you can make a copycat at home.
The Starbucks dragon fruit mango refresher is like the Tickle Me Elmo of summer 2018. Today, we tried four different Starbucks and none of them had the ingredients they needed to make them. They still have the pictures up but no drinks and they say it's a distribution issue of some kind.
The good news is dragon fruit in its raw state is not that hard to find. This way you can also save money and see what ingredients you're putting into your food. I got one of the workers in a Starbucks to show me the box they pour the Dragonfruit refresher out of, and it's only a small percentage of juice and who knows what the other things are.
Starbucks uses dehydrated dragon fruit cubes for theirs, but we use real dragon fruit with the red center is so that it gives the pink color. For this drink recipe, you must use the red dragonfruit otherwise you won't get the pretty pink-reddish color. If you're at a market that that has good labels it will say red or white dragonfruit on the label.
Here's what you need to make the copycat mango dragonfruit refresher drink:
- 2 cups of ice
- ½ cup of fresh red dragonfruit, cut into small pieces
- 4 oz. of mango juice
- 8 oz. of white grape juice
- a shaker
- Optionally, For Caffeine, you can add some green coffee extract, just be ready to mix hard to get it dissolved. You can buy it via our amazon affiliate link for green coffee powder.
How to make the copycat mango dragonfruit refresher
drink:
- Combine all the ingredients in a shaker and shake everything together in order to break the dragonfruit, so it provides the divine pink-reddish, tickle me Elmo, color for the drink.
**** According to this copycat recipe, you'll have a venti homemade refresher drink (20 oz.), my shaker is not big enough to do it at once. It'd be better if you know your shaker size, so you don't overload the ingredients into the shaker. ****
For this copycat recipe, we spent less than $9 for the ingredients, and we can make three serving of the Starbucks Venti size which costs more than $13 at the store. The red dragonfruit is the most expensive. It is $5.16 for 1.10 lb. of the dragonfruit.
- 2 cups of ice
- ½ cup of fresh red dragonfruit, cut into small pieces
- 4 oz. of mango juice
- 8 oz. of white grape juice
- a shaker
- Green coffee extract (optional)
- Combine all the ingredients in a shaker and shake everything together in order to break the dragonfruit, so it provides the divine pink-reddish color for the drink.

Where does the caffeine come from??? Just curious..
Adam says
There's no caffeine in our recipe but you can add green tea in it for the caffeine.
Here's another dragonfruit recipe that has caffeine in it. Check it out!
