Oster MyBlend Review and Stupid Easy Thai Longan Protein Smoothie
For Christmas Mod was asking for a bullet food processor or something bigger. We live in a small one bedroom apartment so we are already cramped so I didn't want to. Instead, I bought her the smaller Oster MyBlend, personal blender which is compact and just has a water bottle type bottle which you can also use at the gym. It has been able to handle most things she wanted to do so far easily including ice.
The nice thing about it is how easy it is to use, take apart and clean and put up. The bottle fits in our cup holders in the car making it fit our lifestyle well. You can buy extra bottles at Target in blue or pink so you know whose is whose.
Here is a recipe I just did using the blender and some Thai fruit called longan. Mod's mom has a longan tree in her back yard and I love the floral tasting fleshy grape like fruit inside the shell. It has a flavor and texture that kind of reminds me of gummies. I am using the canned variety here and then draining off the syrup which is pure sugar and only makes them worse for you. If you can get the fresh ones I recommend them instead but if not canned will do.
Other Kinds of Fruits
You could use any kind of fruit. The fun thing about Thailand is the abundance of fruits I have never had before. When I was in my mother in laws yard it was like a museum. There were I think 10 different types of fruits falling on the ground from various trees and shrubs. Thailand is a tropical, jungle country so be creative and enjoy. I recommend buying a good blender also for your workout recovery drinks. You can help support our blog by buying from Amazon through our affiliate link for this product here.
