Here I will just add some interesting thoughts I come up with through my daily research on general health and diet.
A recent meta-analysis of different studies analyzing different types of diets sounds that the longest lived people tend to be pesco vegetarian. Pesco vegetarians are vegetarians who also eat fish.. I think it is interesting that of all the American Christian based religions the Seventh day Adventist live the longest and also tend to be vegetarians. It is also interesting that the Japanese of any ethnic group tend to live the longest and also tend to eat a fish based diet.
When choosing fish it is extremely important as things are currently in our ecosystem that we are informed buyers because of overfishing as well as contamination issues. There are fantastic resources available such as Monterey Bay Aquarium's add on choosing sustainable seafood. Click on this link to download the app.
