Omega 3 plays a big role in our normal metabolism.  It can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by lowering blood pressure and reducing fat that builds up in blood vessels and can also reduce the risk of dementia.  It can lower the risk of diabetes because it decreases visceral fat.   Mackerel contains some anti-inflammatory agents, so it can reduce a symptom of rheumatoid arthritis.

Super easy Thai style grilled mackerel. Full of essential protein and less on spending.
    Ingredients
    • Grilled Mackerel Ingredients!
    • • 2 clean Mackerel
    • • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
    • • foil paper
    • [br]!Thai Spicy Green Dipping Sauce![br]
    • • 3 Thai chilies
    • • 2 garlic gloves
    • • ½ teaspoon Stevia
    • • 5 stems chopped Cilantro
    • • 1 tablespoon of Fish sauce
    • • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
    • • 1 limes juices ( I like it sour.)
    • • 2 sliced ginger, cut them in small pieces. (Optional, if you're not a fan of the smell of fish sauce, the aroma of ginger will solve the problem for you.)
    Instructions
    1. Rub the cleaned mackerel with low sodium soy sauce then wrap each mackerel in a foil paper. Make sure you wrap them well, so the soy sauce doesn't leak out. Grilling a mackerel doesn't take too long, it takes about 10 - 15 minutes under high heat.
    2. While we're waiting for the mackerel to be cooked, let's prepare the sauce. Put chilies, garlic, chopped cilantro, and ginger in a mortar and pound them really good with a pestle. If you don't have a mortar and pestle, you can use a blender instead and make sure you mix the ingredients real good. Then add sugar, fish sauce, and lime juices with all the ingredients that you just blended. Taste the sauce, you can add more sweeten, chilies, fish sauce, or lime juices as you decide. For more nutrition, you can steam some broccoli and/ or carrots plus steamed brown rice on the side.

What is two sliced ginger? Two cuts of actual ginger? Is that from a root peice or Tsb or tsp be specific please. I ask because ginger comes in weird shapes.

Two cuts from the ginger root, the cuts that I used was about 2 inches long for each. Try to use the young ginger as possible, I personally don't like to use the old ginger in the sauce because it has a tougher texture and harder to chew. 🙂
