Super Easy Healthy Thai Fried Rice
Ingredients:
- 4 cups of whole grain rice, your preference. We are planning to do a category of types of rice, there are lots of wonderful types of whole grain rice available at stores like Whole Foods
- 4-6 cloves of garlic
- 3 tablespoons of a healthy oil like olive oil
- 1-cups sliced lean protein of choice
- 2-4 eggs worth of egg whites
- Vegetables such as sliced/diced; ½ small bundle cilantro, 1 spears sliced celery, 1-2 carrots, ½ onions, 4-5 Thai peppers
- 3 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 Artistically sliced cucumber, limes for garnish
Directions
- Heat oil on medium high for a few minutes
- Add the garlic cloves and brown
- Add the protein and saute
- Add the vegetables and mix in
- Make a hole in the mix in the middle of the wok and add the egg whites and scramble
- Add the whole grain rice stir a few more minutes and add the oyster sauce and fish sauce
- Serve garnished with sliced cucumber, lime and Thai peppers for color
