Tanto a Mod como a m\u00ed nos encanta el ma\u00edz de los vendedores ambulantes. Aqu\u00ed en Houston, lo conseguimos en una taza, vaso de elote, casi siempre que lo vemos. Siempre viene en alguna versi\u00f3n de un elemento cremoso como el queso o algo as\u00ed, una especia de chile a trav\u00e9s de la salsa. A veces se utiliza el cilantro, pero con mucha menos frecuencia. Es lo mismo en Tailandia y prob\u00e9 otros pa\u00edses tropicales. Mi \u00edntima amiga Ivette, de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, me dijo que ten\u00edan una versi\u00f3n, creo que todos los pa\u00edses tropicales tienen una versi\u00f3n. Sin embargo, estaba perfectamente delicioso en ambas ocasiones. Lo probamos un par de veces diferentes y llegamos a la siguiente receta. Mod me record\u00f3 que no hay productos a base de leche que podamos utilizar. Usamos leche de coco light que viene directamente de la lata con grumos blancos muy similares al queso blanco mexicano que usa Chili's. La foto de su men\u00fa online parece un queso finamente rallado pero lo que nos dieron se hab\u00eda derretido en grumos. Funciona perfectamente para esta receta, especialmente si te gusta un poco de calor. El chico con el que habl\u00e9 por tel\u00e9fono s\u00f3lo me dijo que es su mezcla de especias caj\u00fan la que da a la suya el aspecto de chile rojo en polvo. Puedes a\u00f1adir tanto o tan poco como quieras y s\u00f3lo tienes que probar y ajustar porque de todas formas a\u00f1ades el picante al final. Aqu\u00ed tienes la receta de chile tailand\u00e9s en polvo de Mod para que puedas hacerla en casa. Puede bastar con la leche de coco como en la foto de abajo. El hilvanado sobre la marcha no supuso ninguna diferencia y el hilvanado al final estuvo bien. Yo usar\u00eda fuego medio alto en una parrilla.
