Me preguntaron qu\u00e9 hab\u00eda desayunado y les dije \"arroz\", y parec\u00eda que no entend\u00edan la cultura tailandesa. Tuve que explicarles que el arroz es una parte importante de cada comida. Los tailandeses comen arroz en casi todas las comidas; en el desayuno, el almuerzo y la cena, junto con otros tipos de alimentos durante la comida. Conoc\u00ed el arroz frito con albahaca cuando estaba en la universidad en Tailandia. Fue suficiente para que se me ocurriera lamer el plato. Quer\u00eda probar la salsa de albahaca por igual en cada bocado de mi comida, as\u00ed que le ped\u00ed al chef que salteara el arroz con salsa Pad Kra Pow para m\u00ed. Si te gusta la salsa de albahaca, tambi\u00e9n te enamorar\u00e1 el arroz frito con albahaca. Lo cambi\u00e9 por un carbohidrato complejo que es el arroz jazm\u00edn integral. El arroz integral es un hidrato de carbono no refinado, y tiene m\u00e1s nutrientes como vitaminas, minerales y fibra que los hidratos de carbono refinados. El arroz integral tampoco se convierte en az\u00facar tan r\u00e1pido como el blanco. Aunque he utilizado carne de vacuno en esta receta, he optado por utilizar el corte de solomillo, que es un corte de carne magra.
