El edamame que se sirve en Estados Unidos es originario de Asia oriental. Se encuentra a menudo en los restaurantes de fusi\u00f3n asi\u00e1tica y en los restaurantes tailandeses, por lo que deber\u00eda incluirse en nuestro blog. La primera vez que prob\u00e9 estas alubias fue cuando llegu\u00e9 a EE.UU. Una de mis amigas me llev\u00f3 a un restaurante japon\u00e9s y las pidi\u00f3 para nosotros. Dice que es muy bueno con la cerveza, especialmente con la cerveza rubia, que es un tipo de cerveza que tienen la mayor\u00eda de los pa\u00edses asi\u00e1ticos. Record\u00e9 mi infancia cuando lo prob\u00e9. Recuerdo que cuando estuve en Chiangmai vi que en varios puestos del mercado hab\u00eda legumbres en vaina al vapor. Pedimos dos entrantes, pero a\u00fan as\u00ed tuvimos que gastar m\u00e1s para poder utilizar el cup\u00f3n. As\u00ed que pedimos un par de aperitivos, y uno de ellos era Edamame. Es un alimento tan adictivo. Siempre tengo Edamame congelado en mi congelador porque es un aperitivo f\u00e1cil, r\u00e1pido y barato de hacer. El edamame tiene poco sodio, hidratos de carbono y grasa, pero muchas prote\u00ednas, fibra, magnesio y potasio.
